Meanwhile, students in Badgam, Srinagar, and other parts of the territory continued to hit the streets to register protest against Indian forces.

Intense clashes between students and Indian troops erupted after pro-freedom and anti-Indian slogans were raised at SP College in Srinagar. Indian police used brute force, fired tear gas shells on the protesting pupils, injuring many.

One Indian police official was taken to the hospital after being injured when a stone hit his head during the protest.
