At least two Pakistanis were killed and three others, including a woman, were injured in the early hours of Monday when personnel from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) fired shots across the Working Boundary near Sialkot into the Charwah sector, sources in the Chenab Rangers said.

There were also some reports that firing from across the boundary killed several livestock.

Chenab Rangers sources said they responded to the shots and an intermittent exchange of fire took place with the use of heavy weapons along the Working Boundary.

The incident comes days after Pakistan returned an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) soldier as a good will gesture.

Also recently, the authorities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) received the body of a villager killed by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC).
